Fast and Easy Antibody Purification with Monolith Technology

  1. By immobilizing protein A or protein G on the plate-shaped monolithic silica surface, antibody purification has become possible in a short period of time.
  2. Purification and concentration of the target IgG antibody and measurement of IgG antibody concentration in the culture medium can be easily performed.
  3. There are 4 types of shape.

※Modified protein G and high-density chemical bonding technology to silica surfaces were invented and developed by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology.
Using this technology, Kyoto Monotech develops and produces the monolithic silica column "Ex-Pure" for antibody purification.

Ex-Pure-Spin operation example

  • Antibodies can be purified in about 2 minutes using a tabletop centrifuge (eg, rotation speed = 6,000 rpm), and operation can be performed in a short time compared to other companies' products.

  • Centrifugation (6,000 rpm) can be performed immediately after injecting the sample and solvent without pretreatment (Fig. 1).

  • Samples can be concentrated and purified by increasing the number of sample injections in step 2 or by reducing the volume of elution solvent to 20 μL in step 4.

　A spin column with Ex-Pure ProA as a ligand can purify up to 0.4 mg of human IgG with a recovery rate of over 90%. (Figure 2)
In addition, it is possible to quantitatively measure the amount of protein up to 0.3 mg in each process. 		　As with Ex-Pure ProA, the spin column with Ex-Pure ProG as a ligand can also purify and recover simple antibodies, and it is possible to quantitatively measure the amount of protein in each process.
In addition, IgG3 type antibodies that cannot bind to Ex-Pure ProA can also be purified and collected.
