MonoBis

 MonoBis is a monolith (integrated) silica column using a new porous silica* technology.

 *The new porous silica was invented and developed by Professor (at the time) Naohiro Soga, and
  Professor Kazuki Nakanishi, ( Kyoto University).

 Using this technique, MonoBis has been developed and manufactured at Kyoto Monotech .

 It provides a higher speed, higher isolation, and lower load pressure at a same time compared with
conventional silica particles packed column.

 We will offer products to fit your needs by customizing a variety of specifications.

 Basically, there are two types of MonoBis, the high-pressure type and the low-pressure type, and
two sizes of diameter, 3.2mm and 1.0mm, are available.

ultra-high-speed separation
 High pressure type MonoBis offers separation performance
equivalent to the 2μm particle packed column.
 Also, high separation performance is maintained even in
the high-speed separation, lowering of resolution is very
small at that condition.
 Moreover, the column load pressure is lower than that with
3μm particle packed column. This enables versatile HPLC
equipment to easily perform ultra-high-speed separation.

 Low pressure type MonoBis offers separation performance
equivalent to the 3μm particle packed column.
 Also, the column load pressure is one third or less. This
enables versatile HPLC equipment to easily perform
ultra-high-speed separation at a high flow rate.


high durability
 As MonoBis column is integrated and the filling condition
will not changes during use, a high durability is provided
even during ultra-high-speed separation.

high-end cap
 MonoBis is, by the high-end cap, shows excellent     
symmetry even against pyridine which is a basic
compound, and also indicates a large value in the
separation of pyridine/phenol.

high resolution
 When a column with a length of 150mm is used with a
high pressure type MonoBis, a high resolution more than
20,000 theoretical plates can be easily obtained.



high speed and high resolution at low flow
 When a high pressure type MonoBis with φ1.0x150mm is
used, a high speed separation at a line speed of
4.5mm/sec. can be performed at a low flow rate of
0.2mL/min.
 Moreover, a high resolution more than 20,000 theoretical
plates can be obtained at a same time.



polymeric sample canseparated in short minutes
 When the MonoBis mesopores 30nm (wide pore) is used,
even such polymeric sample as with molecular weight
of several tens of thousands or more can be separated.
 By using high-speed separation characteristics, even in
a short period gradient analysis of 2 minutes, a baseline
separation can be achieved.


short period separation andsaving solvent usage
 With the MonoBis, when performing the analysis under
the same conditions as the particle-filled column, the  
solvent used will be about half.
 This and a short period separation will provide saving
solvent usage.
 Morerover, as the load pressure is low, acetonitrilecan
be easily changed to methanol.
